Eighties rock and roll, specifically, sleazy-glam rock was tailor made for strip clubs and dancers.  Featuring squealing guitars, heavy drums, and tales of debauchery, the music screamed “Take Your Clothes Off and Party.”  For those feeling nostalgic, searching for some good old fashion rock and roll, or just want to do a bump, rip off your clothes, and forget your name – here is your play list.

10. “Dance” by Ratt

Few bands celebrated hookers and L.A. Sunset Strip dancers more than the band Ratt (except of course for #2 on this list).  The addictive hook works well in combination with windmill-like pole dancing, and promises a night of mystery and “No One Leaves Alive” type adventure.

Honorable Mentions: “Round and Round”, “She Wants Money”,  “Body Talk”

9. “Cherry Pie” by Warrant

The video featured buxom model, Bobbi Brown, and was full of sexual innuendo.  Fact: Anytime this song plays a man goes bankrupt in the champagne room.

Honorable Mentions: “Girlschool” by Britny Fox, “Up All Night” by Slaughter

8. “You Give Love (A Bad Name)” by Bon Jovi

Some will argue “Livin’ On a Prayer” is the natural choice here, but I disagree.  Strip club music should be upbeat and high on sleazy-tease factor.  This song passes that test.

Honorable Mentions: “Livin’ On a Prayer”, “Runaway”

7. “Cum On Feel The Noize” by Quiet Riot

A surprise inclusion for sure; this song (and band) have been largely forgotten, but I dare you to listen to this song and NOT pull out a lap dance twenty.  It’s impossible.

Honorable Mentions: “Mama We’re All Crazy Now”

6. “Youth Gone Wild” by Skid Row

Rebellion, tattoos, and big Fuck You.  Yes, we are getting close to the top five.

Honorable Mentions: “Sweet Little Sister”, “Big Guns”

5. “Pour Some Sugar on Me” by Def Leppard

This song is played every hour in every dive bar, every bowling alley, and every strip club.  Apparently, it’s a rule.

Honorable Mentions: “Photograph”, “Animal”, “Let’s Get Rocked”

4. “Unskinny Bop” by Poison

When Poison first arrived in L.A., it was strippers that supported the band.  True story.

Honorable Mentions: “Nothin’ But a Good Time”, “Talk Dirty To Me”

3. “Paradise City” by Guns N’ Roses

Everything about this song enhances a stripper stage show.  Bonus: Clocking in at almost seven minutes equals more tips!

Honorable Mentions: “Sweet Child O’ Mine”, “Welcome To The Jungle”, “You Could Be Mine”

2. “Girls, Girls, Girls” by Motley Crue

A celebration of strip club entertainment and the girls that make it happen. Enough said.

Honorable Mentions: “Same Ole’ Situation”, “She Goes Down”, “Girl Don’t Go Away Mad (Just Go Away)”

1.      “Here I Go Again” by Whitesnake

Tawny Kitaen fucked a car in the video.  Game Over.

Honorable Mention: “Still of the Night”
